Many shelter and rescue personnel find time and money are valuable commodities that are in short supply because of the time and expense spent in taking care of the animals under their care. Because of the shortage of these necessary items, routine maintenance and improvements to the facilities that house many of these needy animals may fall by the wayside. In keeping with United Pet Fund’s creed of 'Helping where Needed' and Mission of “Empowering all those who help needy animals!”,  UPF offers a HANDYMAN SERVICE where volunteers will be available to help meet the building maintenance needs and improvements when the occasion arises. After contacting UPF by filling out the ‘HANDYMAN PROJECT APPLICATION’ and forwarding it to UPF, a volunteer Handyman will call to assess the need and how UPF can help meet it. Labor is provided at no charge, and many times the supplies needed to complete the job are also provided at no cost to the organization that requests the service. For larger projects where outside contractors are called upon, we may ask the Animal Care and Service Organization (ACSO) to partner with us by contributing twenty-five percent (25%) of the cost of the project.

If you are an ACSO  in need of a Handyman Service to handle such jobs as painting, drywall repair, light remodeling, minor plumbing work, minor electrical work, household carpentry, repair work and other "odd jobs" and "fix-up tasks", fill out the HANDYMAN PROJECT APPLICATION and forward it to us by fax (513-793-1875), by mail (United Pet Fund, 9401 Towne Square Avenue, Cincinnati, OH  45242), or by scanning it and sending it as an attachment to our e-mail at unitedpetfund@fuse.net. . Someone will get back to you within 48 – 72 hours to set up an appointment to discuss your needs. We will only be servicing shelters and rescues within the Greater Cincinnati area at this time.
