Scholarship Grants totaling $2,000 will be awarded in December 2011 and January 2012 for members and volunteers of the Cincinnati-area ACSOs to attend the Shelter Animal Track at the Midwest Veterinary Conference in Columbus, Ohio, on February 23 - 26, 2012. This will be done on a first come, first served basis until the all the funds are awarded. All those who attended the November 2011 UPF/ESCC Seminar will be given a 2 week head start to register for the conference before it is opened to the other Cincinnati area ACSOs. After December 20th, 2011, it will be opened up to those other organizations that would like to register.
In addition to great classes in the Shelter Track, there are also a great number of other classes in the areas of Animal Behavior, Staff Development, and others that can help your organization gain valuable knowledge and skills to continue to take good care of the animals under your care. You can check out the classes and registration instructions at www.mvcinfo.org. Your fees would be listed under Hospital Staff and Other Professionals.
