SUCCESSFUL BEHAVIOR SEMINAR
WITH 56 PARTICIPANTS!

On Saturday, February 25th, 2012, United Pet Fund  presented an important Behavior/Length of Stay Seminar at the Scarlet Oaks Career Development Campus/Sharonville. Two noted experts in the field, Drs. Amanda Leef and Sheila D'Arpino, both from the Animal Rescue League of Boston,  presented 3 hours of lecture on topics including Reducing Length of Stay (LOS) in your shelter/rescue, Enriching Shelter Dogs Lives Through Behavior Programs, and Canine Behavior Evaluations (Match-Up-II).  Rescue and shelter personnel, veterinarians, veterinary technicians and veterinary-assistant students from the Tri-State area, and as far away as Lexington and Louisville, were able to take home concepts that will improve the lives and increase adoption rates of dogs and cats in shelters and rescues.

Resources
º MATCH-UP II Shelter Dog Rehoming Program
º CSD Dog Intake

Dr. D'Arpino will also be presenting a free webinar how the Animal Rescue League of Boston uses the MATCH-UP II Shelter Dog Rehoming Program at the ARLB to help successfully increase adoption rates  on March 14th, 2012, at 2 pm EST..  This Program is a multi-part system designed to help shelters learn about the personality and needs of each dog so that behavioral interventions can be implemented and successful matches can be made.

Be sure to register for this free webinar and others to follow (as well as a newsletter and other valuable resources) by going to the Center for Shelter Dogs Webinar Center at:
