On Saturday, February 25th, 2012, United Pet Fund presented an important Behavior/Length of Stay Seminar at the Scarlet Oaks Career Development Campus/Sharonville. Two noted experts in the field, Drs. Amanda Leef and Sheila D'Arpino, both from the Animal Rescue League of Boston, presented 3 hours of lecture on topics including Reducing Length of Stay (LOS) in your shelter/rescue, Enriching Shelter Dogs Lives Through Behavior Programs, and Canine Behavior Evaluations (Match-Up-II). Rescue and shelter personnel, veterinarians, veterinary technicians and veterinary-assistant students from the Tri-State area, and as far away as Lexington and Louisville, were able to take home concepts that will improve the lives and increase adoption rates of dogs and cats in shelters and rescues.
