Volunteer

At UPF, our entire organization is run 100% by volunteers – many of whom contribute efforts outside of their normal 40-hour workweek. It is only with their support that we are able to accomplish our numerous goals and successfully orchestrate our events. As such, we always have a call out for more.

Your extra time, talents, muscle and energy are so very valuable to us – and welcome for everything from staffing Pet Health and distribution days to loading and collecting supplies to joining our board and lending us your expertise.

Volunteer opportunities are limited at this time until June 2024. Please reach out to us at info@unitedpetfund.org if you have any questions or would like to get on our waitlist. We look forward to working with you soon!

Volunteer Opportunities

Distribution Days

Each month, UPF volunteers coordinate, gather, organize and distribute tons of pet food and other vital products to regional shelters and advocacy groups. Resources also include puppy pads, cat litter, litter boxes, medical supplies, health items and more. UPF’s Distribution Days take place at their Resource Center, which serves as both warehouse and main operating facility. Member organizations can RSVP and request items in advance of each event day.

Paws in the Park

A fun day at Blue Ash's amazing Summit Park with a focus on dogs and what they mean to our families. Great entertainment, food, games, events, vendor booths, and the chance to visit adoptable dogs. Our second annual event is scheduled for September 2023. Help is needed in all aspects from event planning, marketing, sponsorship, etc. We are ready to utilize your talents!

Volunteer Work Days

UPF volunteers help prepare and organize pet food, toys, litter, cleaning supplies, and other vital resources to prep for UPF's monthly Distribution Days. Volunteer Work Days are vital to Distribution Days to make sure all items are properly organized and ready to go for the 100+ animal rescue, shelter, and advocacy groups UPF works with.

Pet Health Day

Every year, in cooperation with St. Francis Seraph Ministries, United Pet Fund hosts Pet Health Day at St. Francis Seraph in Over-the-Rhine. A free clinic onsite offers pets from some of the city’s most economically challenged neighborhoods free vaccinations, vet examinations, flea treatments, and treatments for minor health problems. Pet owners are also eligible to get free dog and cat food. EVENT IS SUSPENDED AT THE PRESENT TIME DUE TO COVID.
